Nordic skin 0.4 for Kimai 0.9.2 and 0.9.3 This skin was adapted originally from the Kimai 0.9.2 standard skin. It should be compatible with both Kimai 0.9.2 and 0.9.3 (as of April, 2013). Changes from the standard skin are Copyright 2012-13 Kristofer Sweger. Under the GPL Version 3, you are free to use and adapt this skin as you would any other part of Kimai. When creating the skin my aim was to achieve an appearance that is clean, legible and pleasing to my eyes. The result incorporates the following changes from the standard skin: * The skin uses grayish blues (Nordic?) instead of dark grays and greens for frames and borders, and a white background at the top, giving a lighter look to Kimai. * The layout swaps the stopwatch and Kimai logo locations, so that the stopwatch is located at the top left of the page. The Kimai logo and less frequently clicked logout and preferences are moved to the top right. * The skin uses the CSS3 "border-radius" property for rounded corners, eliminating the need for most of the "g3_" graphics files in the standard skin, and making it easier to change the sizes or colors of page elements without having to change graphics files too. When using an older browser that doesn't support the standard "border-radius", sharp corners will be rendered. Preliminary versions of border-radius for Mozilla (Firefox or Seamonkey) and Webkit (Safari or Chrome) browsers are also supported. * The skin uses the CSS3 "box-shadow" property to cast shadows under pop-ups. Older browsers that don't support shadows will simply not display them. * The skin uses "inset" and "outset" border styles for a simple 3D effect on tabs, buttons and input fields. * The font-family preference list was changed to "Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, 'Liberation Sans','DejaVu Sans',sans-serif" from "Verdana, 'MS Trebuchet', sans-serif". Surveys I have seen suggest that at least one of these clean, very legible fonts will be available to browsers on most Windows, Mac or Linux systems. * On my higher-resolution screens, I tend to have my browser text (but not images) zoomed to 133%, so font sizes were chosen to accommodate this. This means that in an unzoomed browser, there is a little wiggle room for changing font family or some font sizes or zooming without destroying the appearance. * CSS changes and overrides for the Kimai extensions, which all have their own stylesheet additions outside of the skins directory, are included in the skin in a new file called "extensions.css". To install, just unpack the zip or tar.gz archive in the kimai skins directory. Have fun! Kristofer Sweger February 28, 2012, rev. April 24, 2013
